Founded in North Hollywood, California in 1996, Dress 4 Success is a not-for-profit organization that was conceived within the mind of it’s founder, Janet Lavender. D4S was designed to help women and men obtain employment and remain employed. Each D4S client receives one outfit when an interview has been scheduled and then a second outfit or separates once she/he has a permanent position. Making the right first impression is what we do. D4S is dedicated to assisting women and men make the right first impression by providing them with the attire they need to get the job and make a lasting impression on the people they meet. We provide a network of support and the tools they need once they obtain the job. Dress 4 Success works with their clientele on a referral basis only, our clients must have a scheduled interview before they are out-fitted with the attire and essentials they will need for the interview process. We work with our clients on various levels. D4S has an expanding group of clients, they come to us from many different walks of life, from job training programs, homeless shelters, educational institutions, government programs and more. Many organizations utilize Dress 4 Success by sending men and women to be out-fitted in professional apparel and supported in their career development.
